| DailyThoughts.org uses “clear gifs” in the email
postcards that are sent to our users. A “clear gif” is a 1x1 pixel sized
gif file that sends a “ping” to our server indicating the email postcard
was opened. This allows us to passively collect information about the time
and frequency of your email viewings (applies to HTML email only). Because
the gifs are in the email message code, it is linked to a particular account.
Any data gathered through the use of gifs will be shared with advertisers
and business partners only in aggregate form. |

| Log Files |
| DailyThoughts.org receives log files from our
Internet Service Provider. These log files contain number of hits, access
times, and upper level (.com) domain names. We use the data in the log files
to measure website usage. Since these log files contain no personally identifiable
information, DailyThoughts.org will discretionarily share the information
from these log files to advertisers and corporate partners. |
